Terms and Conditions
​These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form the legally binding agreement between you (“the Client”) and Claudia’s Canine Coaching (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By booking any training session, class, workshop, or service with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. General Training Conditions
1.1 Control of Dogs
All dogs must remain on lead unless the trainer instructs otherwise.
1.2 Safe Distances
A minimum safe distance must be maintained between dogs unless explicit permission is given by both owners. Some dogs may have behavioural needs requiring extra space.
1.3 Equipment
• We discourage the use of full-choke collars, prong collars, shock collars, and anti-bark devices.
• Use of such equipment in class is only permitted at our discretion. We reserve the right to remove any person who fails to comply.
1.4 Vaccinations & Health
• Clients accept full liability if attending with unvaccinated or partially vaccinated dogs.
• Dogs displaying symptoms of illness (e.g., coughing, diarrhoea, vomiting) must not attend.
1.5 Muzzles
Dogs requiring a muzzle are welcome. Muzzles must fit correctly and allow adequate ventilation.
1.6 Owner Responsibilities
• You are fully responsible for cleaning up after your dog.
• You accept full liability for any injury, damage, or loss caused by your dog to any person, animal, or property during training sessions.
1.7 Bitches in Season
Attendance is at our discretion—please notify us beforehand.
1.8 Veterinary Costs
All veterinary costs remain the Client’s responsibility. Claudia’s Canine Coaching is not liable for injury, illness, or death of any dog during training unless caused by our proven negligence.
1.9 Insurance
We hold Public Liability Insurance. However, we recommend Clients hold suitable pet insurance. We accept no liability for injury, illness, or damage arising during training unless required by law.
1.10 Trainer Availability
If the trainer is unable to deliver a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, it will be rescheduled at no extra cost. No refunds will be provided unless required by law.
1.11 Children
All children under 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
1.12 Property & Vehicles
We accept no liability for theft, loss, or damage to vehicles or personal belongings during training sessions.
1.13 Training Locations
Some sessions take place on working farmland. Clients accept full responsibility for their own and their dog’s safety and for any harm caused to livestock, property, or machinery. Clients will be financially liable for all damages resulting from their own or their dog’s actions.
1.14 Behavioural Requirements & Owner Responsibility
• By booking and attending training, the Client confirms that their dog is not known to display behaviours that may present a risk to itself, other dogs, people, livestock, or property.
• Dogs attending sessions must be behaviourally sound around people, livestock, and other animals unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance for specific behaviour training purposes.
• The Client accepts full responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, or damage caused by their dog’s behaviour, whether to other participants, the trainer, livestock, or property.
• Claudia’s Canine Coaching accepts no liability for incidents, injuries, or accidents resulting from dogs who do not comply with this behavioural requirement policy.

2. Payments & Refunds
2.1 Payment Terms
All training sessions must be secured with a 50% non-refundable deposit. A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Clients may choose to:
Pay the full balance online at the time of booking, or
Pay a 50% deposit online, with the remaining balance payable on the day of the session.
The 50% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.

2.2 Cancellations & Rescheduling
• 48+ hours’ notice: Sessions may be rescheduled at no cost.
• If a client cancels a session within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, the full session fee remains payable, regardless of whether the balance has already been paid. No refunds will be provided unless required by law.
• Non-attendance: Failure to attend without advance notice will result in forfeiture of the full session fee, even if cancelling part-way through a course or payment plan.
• All sessions must be paid in full, and no refunds or partial refunds will be issued where a session has been booked at an inappropriate level. Where possible, alternative guidance or recommendations may be offered, but this is at the discretion of Claudia’s Canine Coaching.

2.3 Cooling-Off Period for Distance Bookings
• Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you book online, by telephone, or by email, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the day after your booking is confirmed.
• If you request for services to begin during this 14-day period, you agree that the right to cancel ends once the service has been fully delivered.
• Any refund given within the cooling-off period will be subject to a £35 administrative fee, unless prohibited by law.

2.4 Face-to-Face Bookings
• Where bookings are made in person at the training venue or directly with the trainer, the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply.
• These bookings are confirmed at the point of sale, and our standard 48-hour cancellation policy applies.

2.5 Payment Plans & Session Expiry
• Where a payment plan is agreed, all instalments must be paid on time. Failure to pay may result in legal action to recover outstanding sums.
• All services must be used within the timeframe specified at purchase. Unused sessions after this period are non-refundable and forfeited.

3. Media & Marketing Consent
3.1 By attending, you consent to Claudia’s Canine Coaching using photos, videos, or audio recordings taken during sessions for:
• Marketing on websites, social media, and promotional materials
• Educational or demonstration purposes
3.2 No royalties or compensation will be paid for such use. Materials may be edited and used in whole or in part.
3.3 You may withdraw consent for future recordings by providing written notice. Previously published materials may remain in use.

4. Data Protection & Privacy
4.1 We comply with all applicable data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
4.2 Client contact details are stored securely and used solely for the purpose of providing services, processing bookings, and communicating with clients.
4.3 We do not share personal data with third parties unless required by law.

5. Code of Conduct
5.1 Clients are expected to behave respectfully toward the trainer, other clients, and all animals present.
5.2 Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

6. Force Majeure
6.1 We are not liable for any failure to deliver services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Extreme weather conditions
• Illness or injury
• Government restrictions
• Acts of God
6.2 In such cases, sessions will be rescheduled where possible but refunds will not be provided.

7. Liability
7.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any liability which cannot be excluded by law
7.2 Except as required by law, we are not liable for:
• Loss, injury, or illness to any dog or person attending training
• Damage to vehicles or personal belongings
• Any indirect or consequential losses
7.3 Gundog Training Risks
Gundog training may involve physically demanding activities and environments, including but not limited to:
• Rough or uneven terrain
• Water obstacles
• Fences, barriers, and other natural or man-made hazards
7.4 By booking and participating in any gundog training session, the Client:
• Acknowledges that these activities carry inherent risks of injury or illness to both handlers and dogs.
• Agrees to take part at their own risk and to ensure their dog is physically fit and capable of participating.
• Accepts full responsibility for their own safety, the safety of any accompanying persons, and their dog’s wellbeing throughout the training.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that any session booked is appropriate for their dog’s current age, experience, and training level. If a session is booked that is above or below the dog’s standard, Claudia’s Canine Coaching accepts no liability for the suitability or outcomes of that session.

Claudia’s Canine Coaching will not be liable for injury, illness, or accidents arising from participation in activities associated with gundog training except where caused by our proven negligence or as otherwise required by law.

8. Severability & Entire Agreement
8.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
8.2 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Claudia’s Canine Coaching and supersede all prior discussions or agreements.

9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

10. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and/or attending training, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
